Disappointed in my 'run'.
Was going well but fell in a heap toward the end by trying to go fast without actually navigating.
Added about 5 minutes all up.
Like the area though and Mal's middle red course was great.

Very happy with run on Short Red - the best navigation locally for a very long time. Spiked 10.5/11 - yes I know that isn't technically correct but the deduction is for the wimpy route choice which ensured a spike rather than a more courageous route choice. Loved the terrain and the course was great with changes of direction and route choice. The only thing was physically it was fairly easy so the brain could concentrate on map reading. Thanks Malcolm (+ Josh R and Peter N) for the event.

I was just slow (just like i am at getting my route up). Guess i was a bit jittery after my mis-punch last time. That said i wasted too much time getting to 2 and then circled 7 for what seemed an age and missed 13 by searching too far south.
Ah well next time gadget

I enjoyed the course - no big mistakes, and I think it is the first time where I have run on a map where I have set courses before, that I haven't been caught by the old "oh I know where that is" trick.
Noticed that the map date was 2007, so some of the map updates from QB3 last year were missing, even with Malcolm's changes. I think this is because the "Headless Poppethead" map has become detached from the more extensive "Astley's Tower" map.
