A flat course - and for me a very flat run. Should have picked up another 3 pointer on the way in, but slowed down and finished with 2 minutes to spare instead - I think it was the consequence of chocolate indulgence on Tuesday (the dessert was called Double Trouble so it wasn't really surprising).

The course selection at Racecourse should be described as cycle-wise or anticycle-wise - all of the cycling packs ("peleton" in their dreams) keep the racecourse on their left as they do their loops.

cyclewise is probably preffered as all the turns are then left handed and thus easier and probably safer

Thanks to Mel for the course today.

My Extract from Attackpoint adding to my list of life experiences.

I had heard of people being hassled on Street Orienteering (people grabbing map etc) but not experienced it until yesterday. To the young teenage halfwit who decided to half dack me by pulling the right side of my shorts down as I ran past 3A you are a very lucky moron. If I wasn't really pushing for time the clue would have been changed to "number of teeth missing from crying teenager". What kind of idiot decides to do that to a complete stranger who is obviously much larger and fitter than their tiny prepubescent frame ? He didn't even have that many mates to back him up and the teenage girlies he was showing off to weren't that interested.

I decided to go west first and do a clockwise circuit of the racecourse thus allowing me plenty of options on my return via the eastern section. The problem was that I went too far west picking up 1H, 3D & 2M and even managing a less than optimum way of getting theses. (I started with WETMIT and he got around these more efficiently gaining at least 150m.

After that I just tried to do too much after turning for home. I should have just cut out, picking up 3E, 2C & 2B instead of my eventual route. This would have gotten me home on time for a much better net pointscore. A big fail on my behalf.

Thanks to Mel for planning and organising and to those that helped her out.
